Mission

We are a play based, progressive education preschool. Our program is child centered, with our focus on social and emotional development, process art exploration, and building connections with our natural environment. 

Our philosophy is built on the idea that a child’s education is developed through their experiences with the outside world. We believe every child can succeed in academics and behavior, but we do not assume that they already know how. We teach in ways that help them develop cooperation, assertion, responsibility, empathy, and self-control. We guide students to learn to self-monitor their behaviors, and to understand that their actions, words, and choices affect others as well as themselves.

Our mixed age classroom is created to offer a learning environment that encourages an excitement for learning by facilitating opportunities where your child’s curiosity is stimulated by hands on experiences.  We value and embrace the innocence of childhood, and aim to create experiences through a focus on the creative process, and not the final product. We encourage children to get messy, move freely and explore the world around them in a safe, structured and, of course, fun environment.
